Responsibilities:

• Conduct investigation to secure essential facts from injured worker, employer and providers regarding workers' compensation claims through telephone or written reports. Verifies information from injured workers, and medical providers to assess compensability and/or causal relation of medical treatment, and makes evaluations for cases with claim specific ongoing medical direction.
• Provides proactive ongoing medical case management to promote injured worker recovery and return to pre-injury status. Initiates calls and/or emails to injured worker and medical provider if projected disability exceeds inability guidelines or to resolve medical treatment issues. Maintains contact with injured worker, provider and dedicated customer to ensure understanding of medical treatment.
• Continually assesses merits status to determine if trouble cases or those exceeding protocols should be referred to Claims Service Squad and/or would do good from, RN review or other medical /claims resources.
• Maintains accurate records and handles administrative responsibilities associated with processing and payment of claims. Documents injured worker'south medical and disability progress by recording updated medical reports and results of contacts with injured worker and our dedicated customer. Provides timely medical and disability / work status updates to our customer by phone and/or email, collaborating to address any issues or concerns that arise.   Generates course letters post-obit set guidelines (i.e., letters to physicians projecting disability, messages confirming medical treatment and inability and messages outlining expected result to employer).
• Authorizes payment of medical bills and/or medical treatment.
• Recognizes potential subrogation cases, prepares cases for subrogation and refers these cases to the Subrogation Units.
